SAP MM - Automatic storage location
- It is possible to create storage locations automatically when an inward goods movement for a material is performed.
- The configuration needs plant and type of movement to be defined to allow automatic creation of storage location.
- Advantage: No need to maintain storage related data.
- Disadvantage:This is only applicable for movement for normal stock, not special stock.
- the navigation path of creating automatic storage location is shown below:

- based on requirement choose option here.
- click on position and provide the plant number and check the check box besides to plant in create Sloc. statement.
Note: process for movement type is also similar to plant type as shown above.
